AINA the FERRY DRIVER
Aina is the first person you meet as you board the ferry on your way to Norrhamn. She's a gruff woman in her late forties, with sun-bleached hair and arms so tan and muscular you can't keep yourself from thinking of grilled chicken. She doesn't say much, but you get the impression that she has a soft spot - if only you could find it!
Aina spends most of her time picking up new guests, so she's only available for days when the ferry is in the port. |
OLIVIA the ADMINISTRATOR
As the administrator, Olivia is intimately familiar with all of you - she's the one who reads your application letters, arranges for your pickup and assigns you to a cabin, as well as all the other thousands of little tasks that are involved with running Kollo.
Most days Olivia can be found knee-deep in paperwork in her office at the Community Centre, with the exception for days when new guests arrive. She can then be found at the jetty, greeting the new arrivals. |
INGVAR the SHOPKEEP
Ingvar is a distinguished gentleman in his seventies who always seem to smell faintly of tar. During the day he's usually found in the General Store where he restocks the shelves and collects requests for special items from the mainland.
When the weather is nice and the shop isn't too busy, you can find him sitting on a stool just outside the store, reading a paperback or playing his accordion. Where does he go at night? No one knows. |

EINAR the FARMER
A barrel-chested red-headed bear of a man, Einar runs the farm with his wife Ronja and their six little gingersnaps. Between the kids, the acres and acres of wheat and a bunch of cows, Einar's days are pretty full.
If you're looking to get your hands on some apples, learn how to milk a cow or get a part time job to earn some extra crown credits, Einar is your man. He thrives on good company and loves hearing stories from distant lands, so it shouldn't be too difficult to get on his good side. |
LARS the BUS DRIVER
Lars is the proud driver of the only commuter bus on the island. He's an even-tempered guy in his early sixties who loves his job and always has a dad joke in his back pocket.
During the day you can find him on the bus or hanging around the bus stop outside the Community Center. If you ask nicely, he'll let you bum a smoke or help him solve a crossword puzzle. |
VALBORG the WISE
Valborg is a sparrow of a woman, with thin limbs and soft dark-grey hair streaked through with white. Despite being in her seventies she's headstrong and iron-muscled. She lives in a cottage in the woods where she tends to her herb garden, feeds her chickens and knits on the porch.
Valborg is the person you go to when you're feeling heavy of heart and sore of flesh. She's sure to know the right remedy for whatever ails you, and if she doesn't... well. If rumours are to be believed, she has some connections to the Unseen. |

The BROOK HORSE
The Brook Horse, Näcken, the Nixie — this mischievous spirit has many names. Out of all the Unseen Folk, the Brook Horse is the one you’re most likely to cross paths with. On warm summer nights you may be lured away from the beaten path by his violin, or tricked into the water by his charming ways. When the water lilies are in bloom, he's sure to be close by.
If you want something special and don't want to jump through the hoops to get it, this is the guy to talk to. Just be careful — everything has its price. |
The HOUSE GNOME
Despite being a permanent fixture of the Community Centre it's rare that you actually see the House Gnome. You do notice the results of all his hard work — the plumbing works, the dishes are cleaned and three times a day there's food ready and waiting in the dining area. If you're lucky you might catch a whiff of cigarette smoke, or see the tip of a red hat disappear behind a corner.
He enjoys his work, but from time to time he might feel a little unappreciated. It's always a good idea to leave a tip in the basket he's put out for that very purpose — he's especially fond of Snicker bars. |
The UNSEEN
It's no secret that the island plays host to many other mythical creatures. They’re elusive — most days you’ll see nothing, or only catch the splash of a fin in the water or a flash of bare skin and a giggle as whatever it was escapes deeper into the woods. There's traces of them all over the island and during especially dark or foggy nights, they seem to creep even closer to the buildings.
They mean you no harm. Maybe one day you’ll even get to meet them properly. |
